CTET Registration 2024
- The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) administers the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), a national-level examination aimed at assessing the qualifications of prospective teachers.
- Conducted annually, the CTET serves as a criterion for determining eligibility for teaching positions in Central Government Schools, including institutions such as Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalayas (NVS).
- The examination consists of two distinct papers: Paper 1, intended for those aspiring to teach students in Classes 1-5, and Paper 2, designed for those aiming to instruct Classes 6-8.

- To date, the CBSE has conducted 17 iterations of the CTET, with the 2023 examination being administered in an offline format utilizing pen and paper.
CTET ELIGIBILITY 2024
- To qualify for the CTET exam for primary teachers, candidates must have completed Class 12 with at least 45% overall.
- For the elementary stage teacher exam, candidates need to be graduates with a minimum of 45% or have completed Class 12 with at least 50%.
- To apply for CTET the Candidates must have finished their required teacher training programs or education courses.
- The CTET exam has two levels: Level-1 for Primary Teachers (Class I-V) and Level-2 for Trained Graduate Teachers (Class 6-8).
- Eligibility for Level-1 includes being 12th pass with D.Ed/JBT/B.El.Ed/B.Ed, while Level-2 requires graduation with B.Ed/B.El.Ed.

CTET 2024 Important Dates
- Registration for the CTET December 2024 exam started on September 17, 2024, and will end on October 16, 2024.
- Applications must be submitted by the closing date, and the last chance to pay the exam fee is also October 16, 2024, by 11:59 PM.
- A correction period will be open from October 21 to October 25, allowing candidates to modify their applications.
- The CTET exam is set for December 1, 2024, with Paper I for Primary Teachers from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM and Paper II for Trained Graduate Teachers from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM.
- Admit cards will be available two days before the exam, and results are anticipated by the end of January 2025.

CTET Application Fees
– The application fee for CTET is Rs. 1000 for one paper and Rs. 1200 for both papers for the reservation category in General and OBC (NCL) candidates.
– The fee is Rs. 500 for one paper and Rs. 600 for both applicable for SC, ST, and PWD candidates.

CTET APPLICATION PROCESS
- The CTET selection process starts with candidates filling out their application forms online on the official exam website and paying the application fee of INR 1,000 for one paper or INR 1,200 for two papers.
- Candidates can download their admit cards from the official website, which includes important information about the candidate and the exam, such as test center and reporting time.
- Aspirants must arrive at their exam centers at least 90 minutes before the exam starts. The duration of the CTET exam is for two and a half hours and it consists of two papers.
