Different boards including UP B.Ed, AP EdCET, TS EdCET, Bihar B.Ed CET, WB B.Ed Entrance Test etc Conducts the entrance test to provide admission in B.Ed course in the affiliated college and institutions. However Universities and Institute are preparing to accept application form for B.Ed entrance examination in 2025, but has not realised the B.Ed Admission 2025-26 notification yet.

B.Ed 4 year course in 2025
National education policy 2020 told to the NCTE ( National Council for teacher education) to revise the educational qualification for teachers in India. They are going to make a centralised and only one teaching course of Bachelors of education. After that the diploma in elementary education will also merge in this course. But the policy has suggested to prepare a specific course of B.Ed for 4 years instead of 2 years.
Currently if any individual want to apply in B.Ed course then they need to complete 3 year graduation and after that 2 year B.Ed course. But according to the new rules candidates available to get admission in B.Ed after completing 12th class for 4 year course where the B.Ed will be merged with 3 year graduation. So it will save approximately a year of the candidate. But this implementation will harm already graduated candidates as they need to again apply for 4 years after completing the graduation. However, NCTE is preparing the course was has not implemented this till yet and Universities will provide admission in 2 year B.Ed accordingly.
B.Ed entrance syllabus 2025
The syllabus of B.Ed entrance exam is different in each Institution and board. However candidates are required to command in mathematics, reasoning, general knowledge, education psychology, history of education in India, classroom teaching, science etc for the B.Ed Admission 2025-26 entrance test.
The B.Ed entrance exam syllabus for various exams like RIE CEE, APEdCET, CUET, IGNOU, and JMI generally includes the following subjects:
- Language Proficiency: Focus on English and Hindi comprehension and grammar.
- General Knowledge: Current affairs, historical events, geography, and general science topics.
- Teaching Aptitude: Understanding of teaching methodologies, educational psychology, and classroom management techniques.

Exam pattern of B.Ed entrance test 2025
The entrance test of B.Ed admission is conducted on OMR or Computer Based test where candidates have to mark the correct answer among 4 objective type answers. Candidates will get one mark for each correct answer and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each in correct answer. The number of questions will vary according which will be between 100 to 150 marks.
B.Ed entrance admission fees
The admission fees for B.Ed course in India is vary according to the institute where you are applying. The entrance fees is common for all the applicant which is raised between Rs 1000 to 1700 rupees. Apart from this candidates have to pay the admission fees at the time of confirming the admission in the alloted Institute or college.
If you are applying in a government institute or college then you will be charged approximately 15000 annually for 2 years.
However if you are replying in a private Institute then the fees will increase automatically from 37000 annually to 1.5 Lakh rupees for 2 years.
Apart from this, candidates who get good marks in B.Ed entrance test will get preferences to get admission in government colleges with reduced feed.
