Delhi University UG Admissions 2024: The result of seat allotment of round 2 of Delhi University for the admissions of Undergraduate admissions 2024 is out. All those candidates who have applied for round 2 can now check their result on the official website of Delhi University i.e. at admission.uod.ac.in.
The important information has also been shared by the university in one of the press releases which include the total number of seats, data available on admission in Round 1, allocations made in round 2 etc. With the help of this blog written below we will also share some additional information related to round 3. What is the total number of Seats Sanctioned?
Total number of seats sanctioned is 71,600.
Admissions of Round-I
- Total number of confirmed admission in round 1 is 65,775
- Number of candidates who have opted for upgrade is 43,067
- Number of candidates who have went for freeze is 20,829
Round-II Allocations
- Number of new Allocations in Round-II are 24,869
- Number of candidates who have gotten higher preference through their choice of upgrade are 27,554
In order to start the academic session from August 29, 2024 the university is going to do extra allocations to fill the seats optimally in the second round. Also those students who got rejected in round 1 because of wrong documentation such as invalid certificate.
Documents have been reconsidered in the UR category as per their merit and preference are subject to the availability of seats in round second as part of the university policy.
Also those candidates who got shortlisted in round II have to login to their dashboard as per suggested by the university. They have to accept their allocation by August 27, 2024 till 4:59 PM.
It has also been said by the university that only those candidates who are going to make the payment can go for “upgrade” for the subsequent round. In the third round there will be allocations to Performance-based programs and Supernumerary quotas of CW, ECA. The schedule of the announcement of Sports and Ward in the third round of allocations will be declared soon.

Documents required during the admission
- Passport-sized photograph
- Migration certificate.
- Marksheet of Class 10 and Class 12
- CUET UG 2024 result
- Any valid address proof such as Aadhar, Voter ID, Passport, etc issued by government
- Certificates for SC, ST, and others required in case if they are applicable
Procedure to Download DU CSAS Round 2 Seat Allocation Result
Delhi University is going to announce the DU UG round 2 admission seat allocation results on the official admission portal today. Candidates who want to download their allotment can download it by following the steps given below:-
- Firstly you have to visit the official DU Admission portal.
- After this you have to login using the given login ID and Password.
- Now click on the seat allocation link given to you.
- Here the allocation details will be provided to you.
- You can download them for future reference.
The first allocation results of Delhi University were released on August 16, 2024. After the allotment of first counseling around 6100 seats remained vacant as 65,843 seats were filled. So all these seats are available for the students to apply.
Some important details about Round 3
After the result of Round II is out now the Delhi university is preparing themselves for the third round of their undergraduate admissions for the 2024 academic year. Till now around 65,843 seats have been filled which constitute about 91.98% of the total seats. In the second round the allocation of 24,869 fresh seats occurred. There were around 27,554 upgrades till now for the higher choice preferences. Now 61,00 seats are vacant till now for the upcoming third round.
The third round of Delhi university for the academic year 2024 is going to be held after the completion of the second round. Although specific dates have not been released as of now. Some of the key points about the upcoming third round are given below:-
- Although there is still no exact information about when the third round will be held. But it is common for DU to conduct multiple rounds of admissions based on the availability of seats after each round.
- Depending on the number of vacant seats it is speculated that the third round might be held after the completion of round 3.
