DU Admission 2024-25: UG & PG Courses Application Starts, Phase 3 Schedule, Fee Structure

DU Admission 2024-25: Delhi University has announced the detailed schedule for the upcoming allotment and admission rounds for undergraduate courses under the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) issued for the academic year 2024-25. The announcement includes important dates regarding upgrade options, provisional admission provisions, and seat allocation for the third round. The upgrade period will run from August 31, 2024 to September 1.

During this period, candidates who have passed in Round I and Round II can choose to upgrade to a higher priority. Candidates can reorder their preferred program-college combinations that are ranked higher than their current allotment. Admission to higher seats requires payment of all differential fees and admission will be finalized only on completion of fee payment.

Announcement of higher quota and 1st round for merit-based programs

The results of higher quota and first round for merit-based programs, children/widows of military (CW), extracurricular activities (ECA), sports and ward quota will be announced on September 3, 2024. Candidates must accept the allotted seats by September 4, 2024. The deadline for online payment of admission fees by candidates is Friday, September 6, 2024.

Mid-Entry

Candidates who have not applied for Phase I of CSAS(UG) 2024 or have not completed Phase II can avail the Mid-Entry Provision. Additionally, during this time, candidates can amend their choices and address any issues that led to their rejection in Round I or Round II, such as erroneous subject mapping or not meeting program-specific eligibility requirements.

Within the same timeframe, candidates who are not accepted into any program following Mid-Entry will also have the chance to modify their preferences. It is recommended that candidates who plan to compete in the Third Round study the available seat matrix and indicate their preferences. Subsequent allocations will be made using the preferences that were finalized on Monday, September 9, 2024, during the Mid-Entry window.

Third Round Vacancy Display and Allocation

DU Admission Vacancy List will be displayed on September 7, 2024. As of Monday, September 9, 2024, the candidate data that is available will determine the allocation for the Third Round. There will be no consideration of complaints regarding the cutoffs and ranks for this round, which will be distinct from those from earlier rounds.

The third round of CSAS allocation including Round II for Performance Based Programmes, CW, ECA, Sports and Ward Allocation will be declared on September 11, 2024. Candidates have accepted the allotted seat until September 13, 2024. The University will review and approve applications from September 11, 2024 to September 14, 2024. The last day for fee payment is September 15, 2024.

Upgrade Window

In the Upgrade window, candidates admitted in Round I and Round II have the option to request an upgrade to a higher priority. If they choose to upgrade, they will also be able to reorder programs that were originally ranked higher than their current allocation.

Candidates who receive an upgraded rank will be placed directly at the university level. The difference in fee has to be paid by the candidate and the admission process to the upgraded seat will be considered complete only after the payment has been made.
