Age limit for International Students
All the students whose age is more than the described age in eligibility criteria will not able to receive the scholarship amount and their application form will be rejected. The candidates who is pursuing PhD program in India should not be more than the age of 50 years. Apart from this candidates who are pursuing UG and PG courses in India should not be more than the age of 40.
However there minimum age should be at least 18 years old. The age of the candidates will be calculated according to the 1st July 2024. Apart from this candidates who are getting education in Hindi/Sanskrit/Indian performing arts such as Kathak, Bharatnatya etc are not required to follow the age limitations and can apply for the ICCR scholarship at any age.

Proficiency in English language
The ICCR Scholarship 2024 Application Form will be submitted through only online where the medium of the instruction will be only English. So it is important for student to be fluent and proficient in English language. Candidates have to write an essay in English for 500 words during submitting the application form. So your proficiency in English will impact in the evolution procedure and the selection procedure of the candidates for ICCR scholarship in India.
Educational Qualification
Candidates who are seeking admission in ph.d courses in India across the world should have a Synopsis of the research to be eligible for getting admission in PHD courses. If you are applying for UG courses then it is important for you to complete your 12 year of education through schooling.
Ineligible courses for ICCR Scholarship
The Indian Council for Cultural relation is not providing the scholarship for casual research programs in India to the international students. Apart from this students are also not eligible to apply for the scholarship in MBBS/BDS courses in India. Similarly other integrated courses including law is also not eligible to provide the scholarship to the international students under this scheme. Selection of the courses in ICCR scholarship
The selection of the course is very important while submitting the application form of ICCR scholarship in India for international students. If you enter any misinformation or wrong detail in the ICCR scholarship application form related to the subject then your application form will be rejected and you will not get scholarship award after getting admission in India.
- If you are applying in UG courses in India then you should match the course combination of UG with your 12th subjects. For example if you want to get admission in UG in mathematics, chemistry, biology, physics etc, then you should have the same subjects in your 12th class.
- Apart from this candidates who are seeking admission in PHD should submit the proposal of PHD during getting admission in Indian universities.
- Candidates who are applying in performing art courses at UG or PG level should provide the video or audio clip of their performance through YouTube link or other attachment sources.
Documents Need to Apply for ICCR Scholarship 2024
The documentation is very important to get approval of your application form of the ICCR scholarship scheme. If you miss any important document then your application will be directly rejected. So during submitting the application form or packing your bag for landing in India, you should carry the following documents along with you:
- English translation of your all the documents. If you miss to carry English translation then you will not eligible to apply for the scholarship
- Certified copy of the syllabus of last examination
- Passport and student visa of the applicant for related course.
- Educational certificate and marksheets in original form as well as English translation forms
- The scholarship letter from concern Indian mission abroad
- Candidates of PHD courses have to provide the proposal of the phd

- The copy of visa and passport after getting approval for the visa.
