Jamia Millia Islamia Admission 2025: Jamia Millia Islamia is a Central university which is research-focused. It was started in 1920 in Aligarh and was moved to Delhi in 1925. In 1988, it became a Central University through an Act of Parliament. Many of its students have also earned the Prime Minister’s Research Scholarship. Jamia Millia Islamia University has significantly increased its program fees for the 2025-26 academic year compared to 2023-24. Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has officially launched the application process for admissions to its various Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) courses for the academic year 2025-26. Interesting and eligible candidates can apply for the JMI Admission Test 2025 through the official website – admission.jmi.ac.in. The last date to apply for the Jamia Entrance Test is April 10, 2025.

Jamia Millia Islamia offers admission to 15 UG courses including B.A., B.Sc., and B.Voc. through the CUET UG 2025 exam. National Testing Agency released the CUET application form 2025 for admission to UG courses at CUET participating universities on 1 March 2025. The registration window was closed on 24 March 2025. Candidates planning to take admission at Jamia Millia Islamia through CUET to any of the offered courses will be eligible for UG admission only if they have selected the test subjects based on the provided subject combination. NTA will open the CUET 2025 correction window at the official website from 26 March 2025 to 28 March 2025, providing candidates a chance to change their CUET UG 2025 subjects based on their course preference and subject requirements of the target university.

JMI Exam Schedule 2025

The applications for the JMI Entrance Examination 2025 are now open (Mar 5 – Apr 10, 2025). The window to make corrections to the application form will be opened after the applications close (Apr 12-14, 2025). The entrance exam is to be conducted from April 26, 2025. JMI will use CUET scores for admission to certain subjects. The CUET examinations will be held on dates set by NTA. The examination body will start announcing JMI Entrance Exam results towards the end of May 2025 for various programs separately.

The Jamia Millia Islamia University (JMI) prescribes the JMI Entrance Examination Pattern. The JMI Entrance Exam 2025 exam pattern consists of the stages of the examination, sections, time duration, and marking scheme. Candidates preparing for the JMI entrance examination are advised to go through the exam pattern before starting their preparations. As per the exam pattern of the JMI entrance examination 2025, the B.A. Honors (Mass Media), will be of 100 marks out of which part A will be of 40 marks while part B will be of 60 marks.

The time period will be 1 hour 45 minutes. For M.A. (Mass Communications) paper part A will hold 120 marks whereas part B will consist of Interview and Portfolio that hold 45 and 55 marks respectively. The time duration of this examination will be 3 hours. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer for MCQs in all programs at the University. Candidates acquiring less than 15% marks in the Multiple Choice questions will not be shortlisted for interview/ admission. As per the general guidelines released by the university, candidates acquiring less than 30% marks in the descriptive part of the Entrance Test, wherever applicable, will not be shortlisted for interview/ admission.

JMI Application Form 2025

Jamia Millia Islamia University (JMI) has opened the applications for JMI Entrance Exam 2025. Aspiring students can apply online on admission.jmi.ac.in from March 5 to April 10, 2025. The JMI Entrance Examination 2025 application form correction window will be open from April 12 to 14, 2025. The JMI Entrance Exam 2025 is to be conducted from April 26, 2025 onwards To fill out the JMI Admission Exam application form, aspirants must register on the official website by providing their personal and contact details.

Login credentials will be created following registration. Using these credentials, aspirants can go on to filling out the JMI application form. Those who successfully submitted the application form will be issued the JMI Admit Card 2025 from April 17, 2025, onwards (a week before the exam date for their chosen programme)

How to register for JMI Entrance Examination 2025?

There are two stages to the online form submission.
Stage 1: Candidate’s Registration: Entering all the basic details

Step 1: Visit the official website – admission.jmi.ac.in

Step 2: On the right side of the screen, there will be a registration box

Step 3: Click on the ‘New Registration’ button and enter the required details

Step 4: After entering all the details, click on ‘Sign up’

Note – Before signing up, make sure that all the information that you put in is correct. Once the application is submitted you will receive a confirmation Email/ SMS. It will contain an OTP, an activation link and login details. Open your email account and click on the activation link or go to the login page of the official website to complete the registration process and start filling up your online form.

Stage 2: Entrance Application Submission: Choosing of Programme(s) and category, fill in the personal and academic details, upload the academic documents, and submit the application fee.
