MPSC Rajyaseva Exam 2024 Postponed: The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) is soon going to conduct the MPSC Combined Civil Services Prelims Examination 2024 for recruiting 524 vacancies for State Service, Maharashtra Civil Engineering Services, and Maharashtra Forest Service posts. The MPSC Prelims Exam 2024 will be conducted in offline mode and includes two papers i.e. Paper I and II. MPSC Paper 1 exam will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and Paper 2 exams will be held from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. It is mandatory for all the applicants to carry an MPSC Rajyaseva Hall Ticket 2024 to the exam hall on the date of the exam, else candidates will not be allowed to appear for the exam.

The MPSC Rajyaseva Admit Card 2024 of the MPSC Combined Civil Examination will be available in the fourth week of November, 2024 (expected) on the official website mpsc.gov.in. MPSC Rajya Seva Prelims Exam Pattern 2024

There are two papers in the Maharashtra Public Service Commission Civil Services Combined Preliminary Examination. The appearing candidates will have to appear for two papers. The examination pattern is as follows:-

Paper I: General Studies(GS)

• Paper I will be based on objective type questions, which will include topics like History, Geography, Politics, Economy, General Studies, Current Affairs, Science etc.
• The full marks of Paper I are 200.

MPSC Prelims Exam

The preliminary exam is the first stage of the MPSC Rajya seva recruitment process, acting as a screening test. It consists of written exams covering general studies and aptitude. To advance to the next level, candidates must score above the cut-off marks set by the Commission.

The preliminary examination is divided into Paper I and Paper II, with a combined total of 400 marks.

1. This stage of exam has negative marking.
2. The questions on decision making (Paper-II) do not attract negative marks, generally these are from Q74-Q80.
3. The prelims marks are not considered for the final merit list.
4. Both papers are of 200 marks each and Paper 1 contains 100 questions whereas Paper 2 contains 80 questions.

MPSC Mains Exam

The second step is the MPSC Rajya seva mains exam, which checks applicants understanding of human resource development, geography, and politics.

The mains examinations include Papers I, II, III, IV, V, and VI.

1. There are 2 language qualifying papers of English and Hindi.
2. The papers which are accounted for merit are 1 essay paper + 4 GS papers + 2 Optional papers.
3. Overall the maximum score from these papers accounted for final merit is 1750.
4. The question papers will be set in Marathi and English languages
5. Medium of exam is to be selected by the candidates.

MPSC Interview

After the main exam, selected candidates will face a personal interview. During this interview, a panel will assess your skills, knowledge, quick thinking, and overall mental ability. Candidates who perform well in the interview will be considered for the role. The interview is graded out of 100 marks.
