According to the statement by Minister of State for Home Affairs Mr Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the government banned a total of 379 fake and fraudulent websites (Fake Loan App List) that were offering illegal loans to customers in India between 2023 and 2024.

During the Rajya Sabha debate in the assembly, the state minister for home affairs Mr Bandi Sanjay Kumar answered the question of action against cybercrime last year. The Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre is working to find out the companies and organizations that are cheating their customers through illegal promises and terms and conditions over their fake services.
The minister has provided only the data for 7 months between October 2023 to May 2024. According to this data, 379 websites were found by the authorities and the agency is taking actions against these websites and organisations. Apart from this they have also listed other phishing and misleading websites and domains in India which were cheating with their customers.

Indian Fraud Loan App List
The Government of India has established an Indian cyber crime coordination center to prevent Indian citizens from cyber fraud which activities checking out and listing the fraud and scams available on internet platforms.
According to the data by the State minister in Lok Sabha, 310 websites were listed under phishing and misleading websites during this period which were either providing fake information or pretending them as official websites to cheat users so investors could invest in their Loan fake websites.
Apart from this 91 websites were discontinued by the authority for providing fake information. 379 websites have been discontinued by the agency which was claiming to provide investment or loan schemes.

Cyber Crime in India
The minister of state electronics and information technology Mr Jatin Prasad provided the data in parliament during his speech on 25 July 2024 about cyber crime reports in India between 2021 to 2023. According to this data, more than 1700 cases are registered for phishing incidence during these 3 years.
The network scanning and probing reports are most registered during this period where the number of network scanning frauds was at its peak during the COVID-19 period in 2021 when more than 86000 reports were registered for this scam.
Apart from this, malware and virus attacks on devices are also listed under cybercrime where individuals have reported more than 10000 reports. According to this data, cyber scams in India have increased after the lockdown of COVID-19. Where most of the businesses stopped due to unavailability of the work. You can follow this procedure to File a Cyber Crime Complaint Online as soon you submit the application form and in most cases, they will help you to provide a refund or prevent you from further losses in less than 24 hours:
- Go to the official website of the cybercrime portal of India where you can also click on this link https://cybercrime.gov.in/
- Now you will reach the new page where you have to click on the link to new complaint registration
- There will be three categories of complaining against cyber crime where you can select anyone and if you do not find the suitable category then can click on other cyber crime link
- After that you will reach on the new page where you have to click on the new complain registration where you have to provide your mobile number and email ID for verification
- You will receive OTP to login on the portal and after that you will be asked multiple questions
- Enter OTP, complete captcha and press submit button.
- Complete the form on the next page. This section is split into four parts; Preview information before you submit.
- You will then be taken to a page containing the event details. Mention the details of the crime and supporting evidence. Select ‘Save and Next’.
