Now National scholarship portal has mandated all the students to register themselves for OTR (one time registration) on the national scholarship portal. One time registration is very beneficial for students as they are not required to apply for multiple times or register for multiple Times on the portal to get a scholarship. Now they can use OTR throw out their academy career.

- One time registration on national scholarship portal is mandatory for all the students so if you do not have the otr number then you will not get scholarship or will not able to apply for the scheme
- It will help government to stop multiple applications for scholarship from the single candidate. For example if a student is eligible to apply for more than one scholarships then he would apply for each, but now candidates can only apply for a single scholarship for a session using OTR

Eligibility for NSP OTR 2025
- All the Indian students are eligible to apply for national policy portal one time registration.
- There is no age criteria so all the students who are engaged in academics from class 1 to PHD, can registered themselves on the portal
- It is important for student to pursue their education from any recognised institute or board to be eligible for getting scholarship from the portal.
Apar from this, you also have to meet the certain eligibility criteria and have sufficient documents for the specific scheme on NSP.
Important documents for OTR KYC
Along with registration on the portal, candidates are required to upload documents related to their identity and residency on the NSP portal for completing the KYC. So if you are going to apply for otr then you should carry the following documents in the PDF form in your device:
- Aadhar card of the candidate
- Passport size photograph
- Bank account passbook
- Email ID
- Mobile number of the applicant. (It is suggested to the supplement to use the mobile number which is link with their Aadhar Card and the bank so it will help for completing the verification through OTP).
NSP OTR Registration 2024 Procedure
- Visit to the official website of national scholarship portal https://scholarships.gov.in/
- Now you have to click on the menu section on the left side of the website and click on the apply for OTR under the student section
- Now you can see all the instructions on the screen and you have to read and check out them so can continue to enter mobile number
- After that, candidate will receive OTP on the mobile number which they have submitted on the screen
- Now you are required to complete your personal information on the screen including name of the applicant, address and contact details
- Now provide your Aadhar card number so you will receive OTP for verification
- Upload all the documents in sequence and click on the submit link.
After that applicants will get verification message on the mobile number and can click on the finish link to complete their registration on national scholarship portal.
