Canada Ontario Trillium Benefit Payment 2024
The Ontario Trillium Benefit (OTB) provides monthly payments to eligible individuals and families, with payment amounts ranging from up to $25 per month for single persons, $50 per month for couples, and $75 per month for families of three or more. The annual maximum payment amounts are up to $300 for the energy component, $300 for the property tax component, and $260 for the sales tax component. The total annual maximum payment is up to $860 for single persons, $1,710 for couples, and $2,560 for families of three or more.
Payments are issued on the 10th of each month, starting in July, and if the 10th falls on a weekend or statutory holiday, the payment is issued on the last working day before the 10th. Additionally, if the annual entitlement is $360 or less, it will be issued in one lump-sum payment in July, while larger entitlements can be received as a lump-sum payment at the end of the benefit year on June 10, 2025.
