SSC GD Physical Test 2024 [SSC GD PET 2024]
Many candidates were waiting to check their marks in the SSC GD examination 2024 which results released on 10th July. Along with the SSC GD Exam 2024 result, SSC has released the SSC GD exam answer key on the SSC Official portal. According to the reports, more than 35000 candidates are selected to appear in the physical entrance test of SSC GD recruitment 2024 or SSC GD Physical Test 2024.
Usually, the SSC calls 3 times for the vacant SSC GD post to appear in the physical endurance test. After that will again shortlist only those candidates who fulfill the physical efficiency such as sufficient size for chest under SSC GD recruitment 2024, completing the race within the time duration, and completing other physical activities by following all the instructions. Candidates should check the schedule of the SSC GD PET test 2024 which is going to be conducted in the upcoming month. As the SSC GD 2024 result was activated on 10th July, so successful candidates can boost their physical activities to prepare for the PET / PST test.
However there is no official date released by the SSC authority yet, but why following previous year patterns, the SSC may conduct the SSC GD 2024 PET test in August month onward where candidates have to check out at the allotted medical centres across the country where medical officers will check various physical aspects of candidates and prepare report accordingly.
SSC GD PET / PST test activities
Candidates can divide SSC physical tests into two categories including the physical efficiency test and the physical standard test, while the physical efficiency test is based on different activities such as running, long jump, and high jump for specific posts and departments.
As much you complete these activities in earlier time your score will automatically increase. Apart from this physical standard tests are only qualifying in nature where authorities measure the different body shapes including the height of the applicant and the size of the chest.
SSC GD chest measurement 2024
The chest measurement is only applicable for male candidates in SSC GD recruitment 2024, female candidates will not participate in this activity. The size of the chest of the male applicant should be at least 80 CM for an unexpended chest, and the size of the expanded chest should be at least 5 cm more.
For example, if an individual has 80 CM unexpended chest then he should have at least 85 CM measurement of the chest while it is expanded. SSC GD Height Measurement
The measurement of height is different for male candidates and female candidates in SSC where male candidates should have at least 170 cm height and female candidates should have at least 157 cm height. Apart from this SC ST category and individuals who are living in hills have relaxation in the measurement of the height which is mentioned in the following points
- All ST candidates: They get a relaxation of 7.8 cm, bringing the minimum height requirement down to 162.2 cm for males.
- ST candidates from North-Eastern states: These states include Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, and the Gorkha Territorial Administration (GTA). They receive further relaxation, bringing the minimum height requirement to 160 cm for males.
SSC GD PET Test 2024 details
Candidates who are qualified for the PET examination in SSC GD should start the running practice as male candidates have to run for 5 km within 24 minutes while female candidates should complete a 1.6 km race in 8.5 minutes. Apart from this if you are living in the Ladakh region then you have to participate in a 1.6 km race which should be completed in 7 minutes for males. Females of the Ladakh region have to complete an 800-meter race in 5 minutes.
