University Grant Commission National eligibility test 2024 was conducted between 21st August to 5th September 2024 at different centers across the country. The scorecard of UGC NET includes personal information of the content as well as their marks details. You need to check your all the information available in the scorecard. There will be photograph of the candidate which they have uploaded at the time of submitting UGC NET application form and their signature.

UGC Net Passing Marks 2024

UGC NET examination is only a qualification test where you need to achieve more than the passing marks to be qualified for research work. There are total 300 marks in the examination and candidates have to achieve at least 40% marks in each paper a and paper b. What is the validity period of the UGC NET Certificate?

The UGC NET e-certificate will be released on the UGC NET certificate portal and candidates can download their certificates using their application number and date of birth. The validity of the UGC NET certificate for Assistant Professors is valid for a lifetime. However, the UGC NET JRF award letter is only legitimate for four years from the date it is issued.

UGC NET 2024 Normalization Procedure

The UGC NET 2024 Normalization Procedure for multi-shift papers conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Here are the key points:-

• For multi-shift papers, the raw marks obtained by candidates in different shifts/sessions will be converted to NTA Score (percentile).
• The procedure for computing NTA Score is available on the NTA website under Normalization procedure based on Percentile Score.
• In cases where a subject test is conducted in multiple shifts, the NTA Score will be calculated corresponding to the raw marks acquired by each candidate. The calculated scores for all shifts / sessions will be merged for further processing.
• If the percentiles for different shifts are dissimilar or uneven, the lowest percentile will be considered as the eligibility cut-off for that category for all candidates (i.e., all shifts).
• For example, if the 40% marks correspond to a percentile score of 78 in Shift 1 and 79 in Shift 2, then all candidates with a percentile score of 78 or above in both shifts will be eligible in the General Categories. This principle will be applied to other categories as well to determine eligible cut-offs.
